This is a United States Air Force HGU-55/P flight helmet. It is gray with a black felt interior and a gray leather liner around the rim. It has a gray leather visor cover over a natural gray visor, which is attached to the helmet with cloth straps. The helmet has built-in communications equipment and a MBU-12/P oxygen mask with a built-in microphone.1 On both the oxygen mask and the bayonet receiver "T6-008" is printed, and on the bayonet mechanism itself is printed "30JUN05/AAM."
